Bathroom Lighting: Ideal Positioning of Lights
Posted by: thefeeder in Uncategorized on April 18th, 2009
The placement of lights throughout your classic bathroom design is obviously necessary to make it functional. It is necessary that you have at least one light, preferably on the ceiling, to make sure that your guests don’t trip around when using your bathroom. However, strategic bathroom lighting can actually be used to accent the room and make it look and feel more elegant. Here are some of the common places wherein people place their lights and a brief description on each.
Around the Mirror
Vanity lights are a great way to add class and sophistication to your bathroom. People usually place them near the vicinity of the mirror to give it a celebrity-dressing-room kind of vibe. If you want to maximize the light coverage of your vanity lights then you should place them beside your mirror. Make sure to align the light to your face when looking at the mirror, so as to minimize the shadows. On the other hand, most light fixtures look better when placed above the mirror. Fixtures with open diffusers fall under this category. Make sure that you try it out first to see where your light will look best before mounting it on the wall.
On the Mirror Itself
Bathroom lighting fixtures are not as simple as they seem and are actually very easy to make the mistake of placing your lights at the wrong place. However, great bathrooms require great risks (and costs) to become as beautiful as they are. To do so, some people choose to place the lights on the mirror itself. These are usually done for large, round and plate-shaped mirrors. Placing your lights on the mirror itself makes it look more elegant but it requires you to coordinate with your contractor, electrician and the people who customize glass pieces.
The Beauty of Recessed Lights
Installing recessed lights is also a great way to add some flavor to your bathroom. It is advisable to use recessed lights for the ceiling of your bathroom to give an effect that the light is coming from an invisible source. People also sometimes place recessed lights near mirrors. This is a little trickier to do as it combines some elements of both light placements previously discussed. You have to make sure that the light does not create too many shadows when looking at your face in the mirror while keeping in mind how you will physically install the recessed light. Most people tend to position recessed lights as close as possible to the mirror’s plane.
Whatever type of bathroom wall lighting you choose, just make sure that it is consistent with the overall theme of your bathroom so as to avoid contradictions in design.
Prevent The Out Break Of Hives With Natural Vitamins And Herbs
Posted by: thefeeder in Uncategorized on April 18th, 2009
Have you ever experienced a hive or don’t you know if you have or not. A hive is a welt or rash that breaks out on the skin. Generally a hive is a large bump or dozens of bumps that break out on the skin when one comes in contact with a chemicals, plants, and lotions. Hives if sever enough can be life threatening such as when taking a prescription drug from the doctor.
The following are some of the drugs and other substances that most commonly cause outbreaks of hives in susceptible people: animals, aspirin, allopurinol, antimony, antipyrine, barbituarates, BHA, BHT, bismuth, cancer, chloral hydrate, chlorpromazine, cologne or perfume, corticotrophin, environmental factors, eucalyptus, exercise, fluorides, food allergies, food colorings and preservatives, gold, griseofulvin, hyperthyroidism, infections, insect bites, insulin, iodines, liver extract, makeup, menthol, meprobamate, mercury, morphine, opium, para-aminosalicylic acid, penicillin, phenacetin, Phenobarbital, pilocarpine, plants, poliomyelitis vaccine, potassium sulfocyanate, preservatives, procaine, promethazine, quinine, reserpine, saccharin, salicylates, soaps, shampoo, sulfites, tartrazine, and thiamine hydrochloride.
Other possible hives-provoking substances are being identified with increasing frequency. Meat, dairy, and poultry products are increasingly being associated with hives, especially those in frozen or fast foods. This is probably because many farmers and ranchers often give their livestock antibiotics in order to prevent disease or infection. These antibiotics are not affected by freezing, processing, or cooking. Many allergic reactions have been traced to antibiotics in milk, soft drinks, and frozen dinners.
The following nutrients have been recommended for the treatment and prevention of hives: acidophilus, flaxseed oil, garlic, a multivitamin and mineral complex, quercetin, vitamin B complex, vitamin C with bioflavonoids, vitamin D3, and vitamin E.
Additionally, the following herbs may be beneficial: alfalfa, bilberry extract, cat’s claw, chamomile, Echinacea, ginseng, licorice, nettle, sarsaparilla, yellow dock, aloe vera gel, black nightshade, and red alder tree leaves and bark.
Look to your local or internet health food store for great vitamin supplements and herbal supplements to help with hives. Many herbs and vitamins have anti-histamine properties as well as anti-inflammatory properties that can help fight out break of hives one may experience through out your life.

Basic Tax Return Tips
Posted by: thefeeder in Uncategorized on April 18th, 2009
Tax returns are reports containing information used to calculate income tax or other taxes. These reports are filed with the government agency responsible for tax collection and tax law enforcement. In the US, this agency is the IRS, or Internal Revenue Service. Tax returns are prepared on forms prescribed by the IRS or another taxing authority.
Tips on Preparing Tax Returns
Here are some tips to prepare better tax returns:
The 4 Cs: Tax returns should be clear, current, comprehensive and correct.
Forms: Take time to arrange the forms. Ensure that you have all the forms and all the correct forms. Ensure that they are in sequential order.
Use a computer: This will not only make your filing more systematic, but economize on the time taken in manual paperwork. Moreover, errors or omissions can be reduced.
Taxpayers who file taxes electronically tend to get their refunds faster and without errors.
Filing status: Ensure that you file in the correct filing status. Filing in an incorrect tax category may result in a significant loss of credits and deductions.
Exemptions: Ensure that you claim all exemptions that you are eligible for.
Avoid rounding off numbers: The use of rounded numbers indicates that you are using estimates instead of the actual numbers, which increases the probability of an audit.
Joint filings: If you are married, you and your spouse can file taxes jointly. This makes you eligible for additional IRS income tax deductions.
Timeliness: Ensure that you file your tax returns on time. A delay can attract unnecessary penalties.
Don’t hesitate to file an extension: In case you are not ready, don’t hesitate to file an extension.
Keep a copy: Keep a copy of your tax returns for at least six years.
Filing for tax returns is not easy. There are many forms to be filled, federal guidelines to be adhered to and regulations to stay abreast of. So, hiring a professional for this task is the best way to prepare and file better tax returns. This is also a hassle-free solution. Your tax consultant will not only file your returns, but will also ensure that you get the highest rebates.

Posted by: thefeeder in Uncategorized on April 18th, 2009
When you see sunglasses advertised as polarized sunglasses you may not realize what this means. You probably think that ordinary sunglasses are just as good, so why bother paying the extra cost to have polarised lenses in sunglasses. The fact is that polarized sunglasses are better for your eyes and do help you to have clearer vision when you are out in the sun.
If you spend any amount of time outdoors in direct sunlight, then you can really benefit from polarized sunglasses. Those who are involved in sports, such as golf, surfing, biking and even snow sports, rely on the protection that polarised sun glasses provides them from UV rays. You always hear about wearing lots of sunscreen to protect your skin, but there is very little said about wearing polarized lenses in sunglasses to protect your eyes.
Polarized sun glasses utilize special technology that helps to neutralize the glare you get when the sun reflects off flat surfaces. While this might involve scientific terms, the bottom line is that when you wear polarised sunglasses, you no longer have to squint when you look into direct sunlight. The polarized lenses in the sunglasses neutralize the horizontal rays with vertical polarizers making it possible for you to see clearly.
Although most of the designers of wholesale sun glasses advertise their products geared towards certain groups of people, such as those looking for fishing or baseball sunglasses, anyone can wear polarized sunglasses and reap their benefits. Getting the ultimate in protection from UV rays and still maintaining true color when you look at objects is the goal behind the designer sunglasses containing polarised lenses.
Check out the designs of all the major lines of sunglasses. You will find that almost all of them have polarized sunglasses. The polarised sunglasses on the market come in all different colors of lenses and in very fashionable designs. Cheap Oakley Sunglasses, Hobie, Arnette, Costs del Mar – all of these famous companies produce sun glasses with polarised lenses.
When you plan a day at the beach, along with your sunscreen and towels, don’t forget to pack your polarized sunglasses. You do need to protect your vision, and wearing polarised sunglasses is the best way to go.
Polarized sunglasses ARE a big deal, but so many people don’t know why.
