Cheap Local Solicitors
Posted by: thefeeder in Uncategorized on August 8th, 2009
What a time I’ve had of late it all started with a problem with my sink leaking well anyway I attempted to find a localised plumber in the localised phone directory – who could surface within a week no chance there Anyway I determined to do a search on google for Manchester Plumbers. Struck gold with that one there they where online .Anyway I used the contact form and within about 15 minutes I took a phone call to fix up an appointment .That’s what I call service. To cut a long story short they arrived the very day and where quite a bit cheaper than the firm who would not get to me for well-nigh a week.
Shortly after the first problem was settled don’t I get a phone call from a acquaintance stating someone has crashed into his motorcar from behind and are refusing any obligation. Not really sure how that goes as they clearly drove into his motorcar. Well hot on my winner with google and the phantom plumbers don’t I get on-line and go looking for a Manchester Solicitor for him. Just on the off chance that his policy has some micro little clause about legal costs who knows?
On a happier note somebody I know has decided to expend some of their redundancy on buying a window cleaning business concern. Not really certain if they have done as much research as they should ahead of going all out for it .I have told them that they want a Manchester Accountant to look at the books of account as these individuals know exactly what they are looking at. For the price it could well spare him thousands if the business concern is going to fold or hopefully the accountant will turn around and say that it seems like a moneymaking business go for it.
So all in all the last few weeks have been quite eventful around here. Looking onward to a few smooth weeks now with no leakages or telephone calls about car accidents.
If you need new floors consider one of these three options
Posted by: thefeeder in Uncategorized on August 8th, 2009
CORK FLOORING
Natural cork flooring is made of the renewable bark of cork oak tree. Cork floors are especially long-lasting (50 to 75 years), anti-static, termite-proof, and resistant to penetration by stains, acids and water. Cork flooring is then created from post-industrial by-product of the bottle-stopper industry. This “waste” material is ground up and then formed into sheets using minimal amounts of adhesive to bind the particles together under high pressure. Cork flooring is usually pretreated with a variety of stains and colors, making the cork floor tiles and sheets a workable option for just about every room in the home.
BERBER CARPET
Berber carpet is guaranteed to also look like it has been recently installed. Footprints are hardly noticeable on this kind of carpet, nor are lines from vacuuming. Berber is a natural choice for an active household. The traditional Heatherfield Berber style complements a variety of interior decors.Though wool or even camel hair is the traditional choice for a Berber carpet, you’ll find them made in materials like nylon and olefin. Standard berber carpet tiles are distinct from other weaves because it has varying levels of loops and usually has less pile than other carpets, but it is considerably denser than some carpets with higher loops and pile. Are you interested in the naming origin? The carpet was named after a hand made bulky wool that was textured and used by a tribe in North Africa, the Berber tribe. The Berber carpet that is used even today follows the same tradition of the tribe by using flecked bulky yarns to create a beautiful carpet. How do you vacuum a Berber wool carpet? How do you clean a polypropylene carpet?
BRAIDED RUGS
Everyone has an image in their head of a braided rug. Ideal for high-traffic areas, braided rugs provide timeless style and endurance. The braided rugs are by nature long lasting and can take a lot of harsh treatment but you must not forget that they are made through braiding strips of cloth. So, you should take extreme care that no damage to the braiding is done. Most braided rugs are reversible, so you can quickly flip them over if one side gets too dirty.
Placed on hardwood, ceramic tile or even wall-to-wall carpeting, Capel braided texture rugs adds definition, color and warmth to any space. The tradition began with the need to cover bare floors economically with both warmth and beauty. Some of the first braided rugs in America were fashioned from scrap cloth and old clothes.
Braids of the same weight and width wear the most evenly. While these rugs look a lot like the originals, they won’t last as long as their historic counterparts and probably won’t wear as well either. Each braided rug is sewn with heavy-duty polyester thread, is reversible for added wear, color fast and non-allergenic.
Low Dose Naltrexone and Why I Care
Posted by: thefeeder in Uncategorized on August 8th, 2009
My story and why I care.
I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in the fall of 2000, when the South had nearly a week of 100+ temperatures. I had no idea that it was partly the heat that was so debilitating, but it finally landed me in the emergency room, where I spent an extra day after the IV prednisone treatment because the temperature was still 112 degrees outside.
My neurologist gave me the choice of which ABCR drug to go on, and was pleased when I chose Copaxone as the least destructive to my immune system. I carefully took a Copaxone shot every day for nearly 9 years. I swear that I probably did not miss 10 shots in that entire nine years.
Being older at diagnosis (52), I was lucky to not progress rapidly during that time. But the accumulated disabilities did start to add up. My left leg would collapse totally and even when it was good, there was marked weakness. The fatigue was tangible as only an MS patient would understand, and the heat would put me in bed for days at a time.
Worst of all was the mental fog. In my younger days, I had a photographic memory. Now, I have entire years that are missing from my memory bank, when the short term memories did not get stored into the long term vault.
Then in the spring of 2009, the unthinkable happened — along with my job, I lost my employer provided health insurance. There was no way that I could afford the $1,600 per month to continue the Copaxone. Even the $600 per month insurance payments would put us in the poor house.
I had no alternative than to do the research on my own and see if there were something else out there that would make a difference in my life.
I am so GREATFUL that I found low dose naltrexone for MS, the new protocol for using ldn to help repair the immune system and put my symptoms into remission.
I cannot adequately express the difference that LDN has made in my life. Now at 61, after being on low dose naltrexone for only a couple of months, I have just returned from a trip to the Colorado Rockies where we took two of our horses and rode for 2 hours a day for over a week. I climbed mountains and breathed the thin, clean air with a renewed joy of life that I feared would never be a part of me again.
My husband is pleased to have his wife of 42 years back by his side and my Mother cried when she saw me on my feet with a grin on my face and a twinkle in my eye, not bent over struggling with each step that I took.
Doing some research on ldn and aids I found that there is much history of its use in curing and calming so many diseases, not because it cures the disease, but because it improves the immune system to help your own body cure your disease.
The first disease that it was used for was ldn and aids .
I am still somewhat atrophied from years of not being able to do the things that I would have liked, but the muscles are coming back almost as quickly as the memory. The mental fog is rapidly lifting, and I can now remember a phone number after dialing it once.
It has not made a big difference in the heat problems, but I will learn to live with that. What it has helped with is no more exhaustion, I sleep like a baby through the night, my cognitive function is vastly improved, my left leg and right arm are no longer nearly useless, but as normal as they were as a youth.
I guess the thrill is just how “normal” I feel, and that pleasure comes from somebody who “never wanted to be normal.” LDN will be a part of my life for ever.
I hope is that the MS Society will spend some of their massive research dollars on this cheap generic drug that has no side effects, that is showing so much promise to thousands of MS sufferers. I realize that the ABCR drugs help support the MSS, but the Society is there to serve us, the MS patients even if it means that the thousands that we all spend on expensive and scary drugs is cut way down by the use of this generic LDN therapy that is cheap, safe and easy to administer either orally or topically with a cream that you just rub in.
I cannot thank my lucky stars enough that I lost my health insurance and found Low Dose Naltrexone. If anybody else wants to try it, there is a Yahoo newsgroup with 6,000+ happy members who are willing to tell their stories too, and help in any way that they can. Always consult your doctor before taking any new medication.
Fashion dog clothes
Posted by: thefeeder in Uncategorized on August 8th, 2009
You’ve heard the expression “clothes make the man”. Well they make the dog too. Winter dog clothes are an excellent way to show off your pet’s personality and show everyone how well-loved he is. There is virtually no end to the beautiful and functional outfits available online and in boutiques.
Even the most discriminating pooch can find high style clothes that fit his unique nature. If you’ve got a dainty Pom who thinks a trip to the groomer is exercise, then a rhinestone-embellished jacket is a good choice. A Lab who makes the most of the off-leash area in the dog park will find jackets that let him run and leap with ease. Your hound that loves walks in the rain will also love a slick rain coat. Even your couch potato pet can enjoy lounging around the house in a cozy jacket.
Fabric choices are plentiful too. From preppy plaids to sparkly sequins to practical nylon canvas you’ll find the perfect look for your pampered pooch. Many dogs (and their human companions) enjoy sturdy water resistant coats for those wet weather walks. But did you know that there are UV resistant dog jackets as well like the dog sunsuit? Considering that skin cancer is one of the more common forms of cancer in dogs you should probably get one this summer.
Your pup is a member of the family. Wherever you go he goes right along too.Make sure he looks fabulous with some seriously cute and practical dog clothes.Rest assured that he’ll stay healthy and happy with the latest high-tech fabrics and the hottest styles.
Foods That Reduce High Blood Pressure
Posted by: thefeeder in Uncategorized on August 8th, 2009
Protein is one of the foods that reduce high blood pressure. A diet with greater protein lowers blood pressure more than a diet high in carbohydrates.
Replacing Some Carbohydrates with Protein and Unsaturated Fat May Enhance Heart Health Benefits: The types of food eaten in an effort to cut down on saturated fat may make a difference in reducing heart disease risk, according to a study of people with either high blood pressure or prehypertension.
The study was supported by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), a part of the National Institutes of Health.
Investigators evaluated three diets that follow the principles of NHLBI’s DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) eating plan with some modifications. One diet emphasized carbohydrates, another diet emphasized protein, and the third emphasized monounsaturated fat.
They reported that while all three diets reduced high blood pressure, improved cholesterol levels, and reduced ten-year risk of heart disease by as much as 16 to 21 percent, two of these modified diets were even more effective in reducing some risk factors and estimated risk for heart disease than the diet richer in carbohydrates.
The Optimal Macronutrient Intake Trial to Prevent Heart Disease (OmniHeart) study will be presented today in Dallas at the American Heart Association annual conference, and also published in the November 15 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association.
These new OmniHeart study results do not represent new guidelines for healthy eating and the proportions of carbohydrate, protein, and fat for all three diets are all within the ranges recommended by the U.S. Dietary Guidelines for Americans and other national public health organizations. Earlier in 2005, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services incorporated NHLBI’s DASH eating plan as one option within the U.S. Dietary Guidelines.
All of the studied diets are a vast improvement over the typical American diet which can be high in saturated fat and low in essential nutrients, according to NHLBI Director Elizabeth G. Nabel, M.D. “This study builds on an established body of evidence that shows following a dietary pattern lower in saturated fat, such as the DASH eating plan, can go a long way toward improving overall heart health.
With these new data, we have been able to incorporate even more flexibility into the DASH eating plan by providing additional options for people seeking to improve their heart health through healthier eating,” said Nabel. The study results reinforce the health benefits of following a DASH-type eating plan and suggests that tweaking certain components within that plan—protein and unsaturated fat—may yield benefits for specific risk factors.
Compared with the study diet containing more carbohydrates, the diet with greater protein:
• lowered blood pressure, LDL “bad” cholesterol, and triglycerides, and
• lowered HDL “good” cholesterol. The diet with more unsaturated fat, primarily monounsaturated fat:
• lowered blood pressure and triglycerides,
• raised HDL, and
• did not lower LDL.
By providing all daily meals to 164 men and women for 41 days for each diet, researchers evaluated the three diets to determine whether replacing calories from saturated fat with calories from protein or unsaturated fat was better than replacing those calories with carbohydrate. Saturated fat is known to raise blood cholesterol, and public health officials recommend that it make up less than 10 percent of daily calories for healthy individuals and less than 7 percent of daily calories for individuals with heart disease risk factors.
Participants were age 30 or older and had either high blood pressure or prehypertension at the time of enrollment. “These new findings open the door to further research on the diets’ long-term effects and the ability of people to follow these diets,” said Eva Obarzanek, Ph.D., NHLBI research nutritionist and study co-author.
The OmniHeart study diets differed from each other in several ways:
• The diet emphasizing carbohydrates contained 58 percent of calories from carbohydrates and 15 percent of calories from protein. In addition, it contained 21 percent of calories from unsaturated fat. The other two diets reduced carbohydrate to 48 percent of calories.
• The diet emphasizing protein increased the protein to 25 percent of calories. To increase protein, mostly plant sources, such as beans and nuts, were used, although poultry, egg substitutes, and fat-free or low-fat milk products were also used. Like the carbohydrate diet, it contained 21 percent of calories from unsaturated fat.
• The diet emphasizing unsaturated fat used primarily fats and oils rich in monounsaturated fat, like olive oil, to increase unsaturated fat to 31 percent of calories.Like the carbohydrate diet, it contained 15 percent of calories from protein.
“Our results emphasize the impact that diet can have on blood pressure and cholesterol levels, two of the major heart disease risk factors,” said Lawrence Appel, M.D., M.P.H., of Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions and lead investigator of the OmniHeart study. The OmniHeart study did not address other types of diets such as the Atkins or Mediterranean diet. The OmniHeart study was conducted at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
The first participants started the protocol in 2003, and the last participants ended the study in June 2005. NHLBI has long recommended changes in lifestyle, including following a heart healthy eating plan to reduce risk factors for heart disease. The DASH eating plan was developed through a series of clinical studies that showed that a dietary pattern rich in fruits, vegetables, fat-free or low-fat milk and milk products, and whole grains substantially reduced blood pressure and had other beneficial effects.
The eating plan also includes lean meats, poultry, fish, legumes, and nuts and is low in saturated fats, cholesterol, sodium, and sweets and added sugars. The new DASH Eating Plan menus are included in the book A Healthier You published by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This newly released book is based on the 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
