What Is a BMX?

A BMX is a bicycle (bike) with 20” wheels which are smaller than average, and are commonly used by children. A BMX is very easily spotted as there is no suspension on the forks or the back of the bike, and it has no gears. A BMX is one speed.

BMX is short for Bicycle Motocross, and it is just like motocross, except it is cheaper. The name comes from racing, but the BMX has changed a lot since then, with new features such as Gyro’s, which lets the handlebars turn more than 360 degrees, without tangling the cables. There is also free coasters, which allow for a BMX to go backwards with the clutch disengaged, so you don’t have to pedal backwards with the bike.

This has allowed a new freestyle form of BMX riding to be evolved.

This is when you can do whatever you want with tricks or speed! Freestyle BMX can be done anywhere; on streets, finding obstacles to jump over, at skate parks, using ramps to give you enough airtime to pull off stunning tricks, or in woods, with ramps made of dirt.

Each different type of BMX has been built on over the years, and has given BMX riders the freedom to do whatever they want. Tricks are changeable, and different styles of different riders can make them look better or worse. Tricks can have made up and. In street, you can do quite literally anything you want, jumping off walls, grinding kerbs; everything is your decision.

BMX is an extreme sport, so care should be taken when riding. Your first concern should always be Safety. You should be careful not to injure yourself, even though some say the crashes are all part of the learning process. If you fall off trying to perform a BMX 360 spin, don’t give up and it will make you a much more practiced rider. Remember it is all about enjoying everything that you do, not scaring yourself.

Should I build or buy my pink bmx?

This Pink BMX article is about how you should get your new pink BMX. Whether you Build a pink BMX or buy a pink BMX these are both ways to achieve the same result – a BMX.

Buying a BMX is the simplest way to get a pink BMX, and it is also likely to be more cost effective. Buying the pink BMX from new will always be cheaper than buying the same parts new.

Is the price of your new pink bmx no option? Would you rather save money on a bmx, even though it is not quite what you wanted, or a bmx you know you is the one for you?

One thing to consider before you try and build a pink BMX is to be certain you have everything planned. You will need the money for the parts before you purchase them. A working project may end up in a loss of enthusiasm, leading to half a BMX sitting in your house for months before you continue with it. Start a check list of the parts you need, along with the part you are buying and the price this keeping you organized, and not without parts when you come to build your pink bmx.

If you have never done anything technical with a bmx before then Building a pink BMX is not something you will want to do. One thing, if you want to build a bmx, and are not fussed about riding it a lot, or maybe even sell it, is to buy a new pink bmx, for about £200-300, and then when you get bored of the bmx, or the pink bmx gets scratched or slightly dented, you can remove it and replace it with a new part. This will teach you the skills to build the BMX and assemble the parts, if you only buy a bmx frame, then use this as the base to a new bike. When you replace the part, use the old one on the new frame. This will give you another BMX to ride, maybe making a profit if the replacements were cheap.

You dont want to buy a pink BMX too often, so be sure it is carried out sufficiently the first time. Test the pink BMX before you purchase it, enquire, find photo’s of it being ridden, to help you be sure. Only buy it if you really want to, dont worry if poeple have a better bike than yours, it should be something you buy out of choice.
